Alec the MVP of our marketing team?

We began our marketing campaign with research!
Researching the NYU census and the Alabama census, we found that both campaigns were simple, straight forward and tried to implement there community in a way they felt involved,
We used this research and harnessed it into our very own campaign...
Our goals were to..
-Increase turnout from previous years
-Educate the public about the census
-Spread census awareness: Social media, events, etc.
-Make the census seem as more pleasant: through Alec
Our slogan was:
“I count!”, “You count!” "weston counts"
The Slogan was short, catchy and used to spread a positive message
It is phrased in a way in which people feel like they are impacted as individuals
The main component I worked on was the digital components.
I created a animated character named Alec, he is the city of weston mascot. It is more friendly and  doesn't have some unfamiliar face that most government posters seem to have. It shows no one race in particular thus allowing for everyone to feel included. This is important, especially for our goal to aim for the minorities.
Overall, I feel our marketing campaign could be very effective if implemented in real life. We were able to identify an audience and create a campaign in order to accomidate to the needs of the audience. This is a skill I would need to bring into my  project in the marketing aspect. As of now i would like to create a coming of age film thus my marketing would be aimed towards teens. Similar to our campaign I would have to find something that appeals to them.
Stay tunedddd.... bye

Young Padawan I am...

Hello, fellow Padawans ...

Im so happy to be back and learning more about the world of Media! During the summer I gained experience from an internship at a company called RKVIST. I never stopped working on my skills and never stopped reflecting. As a result, the transition from AS to A level was not as difficult as I thought it was going to be. Not only because of the internship but because it has been building a lot on big aspects focused on last year such as analysis and implementing new and exciting ones such as documentaries.
Ok so lets talk about the elephant in the room...
 I  passed AS level! Yehawww
Over these past few months, I have had a lot of time to reflect on my piece even more so now that the topic I choose ended up impacting someone very near and dear to me. I have realized that its different when something is created as a third party than when its you and yours.
I now realize that my film went through everything really quickly and didn't allow for the emotions that were being emitted to resinate with the audience thus losing its impact. This year in A level I aim to create a film that connects more with the audience, allows for them to find connections between the story being told. For the audience to feel connected or in last years case to think "Oh Damn, that could be me or someone I know and we have to do something about this."
Although, I did a topic that i felt was very important and reveled a lot about our society, I feel like it was a little to heavy for a world that is already very dark. ( This is in retrospect... I still believe there should be films that expose the truths about our society but also films that make people smile.. and reminisce about there childhood... a balance)
So this year I would like to create a film thats a little more uplifting that people who would enjoy watching yet, still have an important message.
Thank you for reading... have a beautiful day

This is it :( My CCR
